Eqbal Ahmad 25 Years On; Personal and Political Legacies - Kitab Ghar , Karachi 19th November 2024 (English/Urdu)

In collaboration with Kitab Ghar and the Documentary Association of Pakistan, we convened a special community gathering for the ‘Eqbal Ahmad 25 Years On Tribute Festival’ in Pakistan.

We conducted a wonderful panel including students and friends of Eqbal Ahmad, who spoke to his personal and political legacies. Alongside the panel we showed our Pakistan 2024 Film Collaboration with ‘All That Breathes’.

This evening was in tribute to Eqbal Ahmad and dedicated to Sabeen Mahmud

Dr. Nauman Naqvi is an Associate Professor of Comparative Humanities at Habib University, where he has been the founding Dean of the School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as the founding Director of the Habib Liberal Core Curriculum. He credits Dr. Eqbal Ahmed with his admission to graduate school at Columbia University, where he earned his PhD
